On Tuesday, May 27, 2025, North Penn seniors Ahmaar Godhania, Gabriel Altemus & Aiden Atkinson were recognized for committing to continue their basketball careers at the collegiate level.
“All three of them are great kids,” coach Cordell Lord said. “I’ve known all of them since they were eight or nine, so to see all of them grow up through the process and get to where they are now – it’s nothing short of a blessing, and I’m proud of them. They’re all great kids, hard workers. They do the extra work – getting to the gym early, staying after practice and doing extra work for themselves.
“It was a great group of seniors. I’m really excited for their next opportunity, their next chapter. I’m going to miss them. It’s definitely hard to watch them walk away, but they left the program in a better spot because of their work ethic and because of their character, and that’s going to be really important for us moving forward. I hope the young guys really took note of what they did because their work ethic, their character and their approach to the game on a daily basis is something that shouldn’t go unnoticed”.
Gabriel Altemus – Cheyney University (Basketball)

Coach Cordell Lord: “Gabe has a special story. He’s had some season-ending injuries throughout the last several years. He and I sat down before the season even began and just spoke about a plan that we wanted to get him specifically able to make it through the entire season, doing extra stretches, extra lifting workouts that we could put together for him, and he was 100 percent committed to all of them, and that was a big part of his success this year.”

Coach Cordell Lord: “Ahmaar was our guy, our leader this year. Being ‘the guy’ on any team is always difficult, but he always found ways to make others better. He always found a way to show up at big-time moments for us throughout his whole entire career here at North Penn. I’m just really excited for him and what he’s going to do next. I know the end of the year wasn’t exactly what he wanted. We’ve had really tough talks in terms of how far we wanted to make it and things like that, but the way he handled himself even in tough moments – I’m super proud of him.”
