Carley Adams – East Stroudsburg University (Basketball)
Major: Psychology
Final list of colleges: East Stroudsburg, Chestnut Hill, Holy Family
Reasons for choosing ESU: “I chose East Stroudsburg because from the second I was there it felt like home.”
Coach Jen Carangi says: “Carley has been a four-year varsity player for us and she is the engine that makes our team go. She is a defensive leader, and no one works harder than her. Carley is a 2-year captain and her hard work sets a positive example, particularly for our younger players. Carley averaged six points and four rebounds.”

Val McGriff – Bloomsburg University (Basketball)
Major: Psychology
Final list of colleges: Bloomsburg, West Chester, East Stroudsburg, Lycoming
Reasons for choosing Bloomsburg: “I chose Bloomsburg because every time I went I felt very loved, and it felt very homey. The girls barely even knew me, but they treated me like I was already a teammate, and I loved that feeling and I could see myself being there for four years.”
Coach Jen Carangi says: “I have challenged Val since the second she stepped into our program. She came in as a very raw athlete, and we saw a ton of potential, but she was someone we questioned early on if she had what it takes to make it for four years. For her to be here – I feel such pride in Val as a player and as a student-athlete. There is no one more well rounded than Val, and while she is quite intimidating on the court, there’s not a nicer player around. She has been a leader for us this year—first as our leading scorer, averaging 12 points—and then as our leading rebounder, averaging 9 rebounds per game.”
About Val:
Favorite food: Pizza
Favorite movie: Finding Nemo
Favorite music: Old school R&B
