Carter Houlihan – Lafayette College (Soccer)

Major:  Undecided

Final list of colleges:  Lafayette, Lehigh, Villanova

Reasons for choosing Lafayette:  “I chose Lafayette because when I went on visits, the coaching staff and the soccer team did their best to make me feel welcome and feel at home.”

Coach Paul Duddy says:  “Carter Houlihan is heading to Lafayette. He’s a great player, a great student, and he’s the player that made our team go. He told me at the beginning of the year he was going to score 30 goals this year, which in high school soccer is pretty much unheard of - especially at our level. In the state title game, he scored number 29 and 30. Besides that, he played on the McGuire Cup National Championship team at the U19 level. He’s probably the best boys’ soccer player to come through our program in my years. He’s a four-year starter – I don’t know how many goals and plenty of assists he had, and he’s absolutely one of the leaders of our team.”
