Jake Homan – Chestnut Hill College (Lacrosse)
Major: Health Sciences
Reasons for choosing Chestnut Hill: “Chestnut Hill was the first school I talked to to be recruited for lacrosse. It was really the only school I talked to seriously, and that was due to the head coach, all the assistants and all the teammates. They just welcomed me, and I can’t wait for the next four (years).”
Coach Rick Smith says: “Back in the springtime of 2017 when he first set foot on the lacrosse field, I was afraid the wind was going to blow Jake away. Jake was probably around 100 pounds, a little lefty attackman, and three years later, going into his senior year, Jake has really accomplished a lot. It’s kind of a dying breed – we don’t have many three-sport athletes, and unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of blue collar workers anymore. Jake Homan is absolutely a blue collar worker. Jake Homan puts forth 100 percent effort into everything he does. He challenges himself on the lacrosse field, he challenges himself in the classroom, and most importantly, he challenges himself as a person. Jake Homan entered his freshman year, and he was very, very shy. This past spring Jake was unanimously chosen as the team captain for this year, and he has absolutely come out of his shell. I have seen Jake more vocal, he dedicates himself in the weight room, and he has easily put on 30 pounds of muscle since his freshman year. With his blue collar mentality, he will be very successful at Chestnut Hill, and his best season at North Penn is yet to come.”
