Alexa Juska – Slippery Rock University (Lacrosse)
Major: Exercise Science/Physical Therapy
Final list of colleges: Slippery Rock and other PSAC schools
Reasons for choosing Slippery Rock: “Right from the start from the day I met the coaches, they were so friendly and welcoming. Every time I’ve been on campus it’s felt like I’m already part of the team.”
Coach Heather Mellow says: “Alexa is an amazing young woman. I remember when she showed up her freshman year, and she was just so bright-eyed and excited to learn and just loved the sport of lacrosse. I’ve known her for three-and-a-half years, and I don’t think that perspective has changed at all. She’s still that same young woman. She has been an important part of our team and has been a starter since her sophomore year as a defender. She was named captain of our 2020 team. She’s a very strong leader, especially in the backfield and a very good defender. We’re going to be looking to that leadership and her experience to help guide us to hopefully another league championship. Slippery Rock is very fortunate they’re getting such a great athlete that is just very dedicated, hardworking and coachable, and she’s going to do amazing up there.”
