On Thursday, May 24, 2018, Pennridge senior Cross Edwards was recognized for committing to continue his volleyball career at Saint Francis University. Check back for photos of the event.
Cross Edwards – Saint Francis University (Volleyball)
Major: Business Management with a concentration in Aviation
Final list of colleges: Saint Francis, Liberty, George Mason
Reasons for choosing Saint Francis: “I wanted a Division I school with a very competitive program. I also wanted them to have an aviation program. SFU met all the requirements that I wanted in a school and more.”
High school athletic accomplishments:
Four-year varsity player
First team All-SOL, All-District One and All-State.
Coach Dave Childs says: “He’s a really good passer. That’s the thing that stands out about Cross is his ball control. He got better every year. He loves the game of volleyball – I think it’s very obvious with the amount of time he’s put into the sport to help himself improve. He just loves the sport and enjoys playing it.”
