Reasons for choosing Lehigh: “The main reason is because of the education I will get there. I also love the team and the coaches, and it’s close to home, so it’s very convenient.”
What was the progression that led you to wrestling at the collegiate level? “It’s always been a dream for me. I started wrestling when I was five, and I probably started thinking about continuing in college when I got to middle school.
Coach R.P. Norley says: “What made Kyle so great is he’s a coachable kid. He listens and he trusts his coaches. He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do. I’d like to give credit to the Parker family because Scott and Matt both have been role models for Kyle. Even though Matt’s a little younger, I know Matt’s work ethic and Scott’s work ethic has rubbed off on Kyle, and they been a big part of Kyle’s success.
“Kyle is a man among boys. He’s going to have his great season. I’ve wrestled many kids – high school and college, and Kyle is the first high school wrestler to consistently compete with me and keep me on my toes. He’s no joke.”
