Shannon Griffin – Albright College (Field Hockey)
Major: Behavioral Psychology
Reasons for choosing Albright: “They have a great psychology program, and the people there are so nice.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in field hockey at the collegiate level? “My oldest sister’s college field hockey coach reached out to Albright’s coach and talked to her about me. I got a tour of the school by the coach and fell in love with it, but without my family, I wouldn’t have played.”
Coach Becky Spahr says: “Shannon is a really good leader – she was one of our captains this past season and did an awesome job, making sure that our team was super unified. Also, she was very good at keeping everyone accountable. She’s already been encouraged to continue leading even as a freshman and sophomore at college, so she’ll do a really good job with that. She played defense for our varsity for three years and really grew into our role and did a great job.”
