On Monday, April 25, 2022, Pennridge senior Jeff Stritzl was recognized for committing to continue his soccer career at the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg.
Jeff Stritzl – University of Pittsburgh Greensburg (Soccer)
Major: Secondary Education
Final list of colleges: Pitt Greensburg, Shippensburg, Wilson, York
Reasons for choosing University of Pittsburgh Greensburg: “The ability to get a good education and further my athletic career at the collegiate level.”
Coach Pete Valimont says: “Jeff is a two-year varsity starter and earned second team all-league his senior year. He is the complete soccer player and will be a tremendous asset to the Pitt-Greensburg soccer program. Jeff is strong, fast and does not shy away from physical play. Jeff played outside back for us and was an absolute stud his senior year. His ability to see the field in front of him is second to none, and he would direct players where to go which allowed him to contribute multiple assists from his defensive position. We will have big shoes to fill in his absence next fall. It was an honor and a privilege to coach Jeff. He has a terrific family, and I wish him nothing but success over his college soccer career.”
