Major: Business or Visual Impairment

Reasons for choosing Kutztown: “I knew for a while that I wanted to stay close to home. I had looked into Kutztown but had other schools in mind that I was more involved with at the time. I did not think that it was a top choice of mine until I went for an official visit in the fall. I was able to sit in on a practice with the team, talk to the coaches one on one, join in their weight room session, walk around the campus and see what the college life was going to be about for me. I was able to sit and have lunch with the team and talk to them about their experiences as a college athlete at Kutztown. That is when I knew that this was not just a team but a family. Kutztown felt like more than just a school, it felt like home. I am very excited to see where this path takes me in the future.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in volleyball at the collegiate level? “The first time I realized that I wanted to pursue volleyball in a more advanced arena was the end of my junior season. I had only started volleyball as a sophomore, and I felt there was a pull to continue in college.
“My recruiting process started in the spring of 2023 and advanced into the summer. I was going to multiple showcases and summer camps at different colleges and emailing different coaches left and right. The last showcase I attended was Kutztown, and that is where my journey fully started to grow, and I was so excited to finalize it there.”

Best memory competing in sports at Quakertown: “My most memorable moments would have to be the bus rides to and from games. We play music and sing. Whether we lost or won, we always made the best out of the situation.”

Coach Andy Snyder says: “Grace has been with the team for three years. In those three years, she is a two-time second team all-league players. She’s our two-time girls’ volleyball MVP. As a junior, she was primarily a front row player. In volleyball, there are generally front row and back row players, and there are some players that go all the way around. She was mostly front row, but as a senior, she became an all-around player. She led the team in nearly every stat category – kills, aces, blocks and she led in digs this year when we put her in the back row. She really stepped up her senior year. She had a game this year where she was close to 20 kills in one of our matches, and that’s pretty good for a high school athlete. She really led the team not just in stats, but personality-wise, she was probably the most stable player you could find. She’s very level-headed – she’s not up and down. Grace is there all the time, working hard, positive attitude, supporting her team and just doing everything you could possibly ask. She’s very reliable, she’s dependable, she’s there all the time. There’s nothing more that a coach could ask for. It’s been a pleasure coaching her these past two years. We’ll definitely miss her.”
