Olivia Williams – Manhattan College (Lacrosse)
Major: Biochemistry & Spanish with the goal of becoming a bilingual pediatrician
Final list of colleges: Manhattan, Queens University of Charlotte, Tampa
Reasons for choosing Manhattan: “I think what made me decide on Manhattan was when I went there even the seniors were so welcoming and so nice to me. I loved the atmosphere as well as it’s in New York City, which is awesome.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “In eighth grade, I started looking up big Division I schools, and I was like - I really want to play in college, so I always worked towards that goal. When I reached it, I was speechless.”
Coach Nicole Donnelly says: “Liv picked up a stick in fifth grade and hasn’t looked back since. As a defender, she’s been an integral part of her team – the community team, the high school team and travel and NXT. She’s a leader on and off the field, and she pushed her teammates to be better but never any harder than she pushed herself – which is really hard. She’s been a joy to coach, and I look forward to seeing her take her lax IQ and competitive mindset to the next level as a Manhattan College Jasper.”
