On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, six Souderton seniors were recognized for committing to continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level.
Jeremy Fallon – Kutztown University (Baseball)
Major: Business
Reasons for choosing Kutztown: “I was only looking at Kutztown. The coaches really caught my attention, and the campus was nice as well.
Coach Mike Childs says: “I have coached Jeremy since he was eight. Watching him develop over the years have been fun to watch. He works hard, and his ability not to let a whole lot faze him earned him all-league in the field and on the mound. His cool, calm personality along with his ability should take him far at Kutztown.”

Coach Mike Childs says: “It was a pleasure to watch Austin develop into the pitcher he became as a senior. His hard work and confidence shown throughout the season which earned him first team all-league. He will definitely continue that success at the next level on and off the field.”

Coach Mike Childs says: “Chris earned his way to be a three-year starter for us at multiple positions. He is a talented player and one of the most baseball smart kids I have ever coached. He will definitely compete for an infield spot at Widener as a freshman.”

Coach Mike Childs says: “Greyson Norris- Mr. Energy! Greyson’s enthusiasm will be a welcomed addition at ESU. He has a lot to offer as a pitcher with his size, strength and ability to step up in tough situations. His leadership qualities will be an added addition at the next level.”

Coach Mike Childs says: “Zach has a lot to offer as a two-way player. At the beginning of this season, we were not sure if he was going to play second or outfield because of his versatility. He is actually going to college as a pitcher first, which’s shows how good of an athlete he is. He is a smart kid and his success in the classroom will continue in college.”

Nathan Woodbury – Elizabethtown College (Baseball)

Reasons for choosing Elizabethtown: “I chose Elizabethtown because of the coaching staff and the overall atmosphere.”
Coach Mike Childs says: “Nathan is an exceptional athlete who has the ability to play multiple positions. Being one of the fastest kids on our team, I am sure he will steal some bases in college. As a hitter, he can also spray the ball to all fields which is a plus. He is always striving to get better and help his team in any way he can.”
