Grace DeMarzio – Shippensburg University (Lacrosse)
Major: Criminal Justice
Final list of colleges: Shippensburg, Widener, Gannon
Reasons for choosing Shippensburg: “I chose Shippensburg because I really liked the campus, I loved the coaching staff, and I thought it would challenge me.”
Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite memory was beating Pennridge last year in overtime.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I’ve been playing lacrosse since I was in third grade, and I just can’t imagine a life without it, so that’s why I decided to continue playing.”
Coach Claudia LaMarca says: “Shippensburg is lucky to have a defender like Grace. She’s the type of player you want on your team. She’s gritty and she plays with heart. Having missed her senior season, I know she’ll be stepping foot on campus and the field with a vengeance to succeed. We will miss her fire, but excited for all her future success.”
About Grace:
Favorite food: Sushi
Favorite movie: The Sandlot
Favorite music: Pop
Lauren Hallman – East Stroudsburg University (Lacrosse)
Major: Nursing
Final list of colleges: East Stroudsburg, West Chester, York College
Reasons for choosing East Stroudsburg: “I chose East Stroudsburg because I can play lacrosse and do nursing. The coaching staff was amazing, and the team just had a good vibe.”
Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite memory was scoring my 100th goal this season.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I grew up playing soccer, and I thought that would be my thing, but I switched to lacrosse in fifth grade and made varsity as a freshman. I took it more seriously and wanted to pursue it in college.”
Coach Claudia LaMarca says: “Lauren Hallman has proved for the past two seasons coaching her to be one of the most disciplined and talented players on the field during every game. She makes her presence known whether it’s fighting for the draw or setting herself and her teammates up for success on attack. She is all over the place. Lauren has the ability to make an instant impact at ESU, and we know she will.”
About Lauren:
Favorite food: Sushi
Favorite movie: Grown Ups
Favorite music: Pop
Reiley Knize – Bloomsburg University (Lacrosse)

Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite memory was scoring the overtime goal in playoffs last year to get us to the second round.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I want to play another four years because I’m not done yet.”
Coach Claudia LaMarca says: “Reiley brings heart, hustle, and leadership as well as several other qualities that will propel her to success. This season for us she took control all over the field - whether it was on the draw, coming up with defensive plays, or creating something on the offensive end, Reiley had a hand in almost every single play this year. The experience she gained leading a team and taking control was invaluable, and we can’t wait to watch her thrive at Bloomsburg.”

Favorite TV show: Friends
Favorite music: Pop
Julia Mangini – Frostburg State University (Lacrosse)

Favorite high school sports memory: “My favorite memory was beating Springfield in overtime last year to make it to the second round of playoffs.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I tried out for lacrosse in seventh grade, and I just loved it ever since.”
Coach Claudia LaMarca says: “On defense this year, Julia was our only returning starter and varsity defender. This challenge tremendously improved her communication skills, her leadership skills, and her ability to take control of any and every defensive situation. Her confidence handling the ball in pressure, her lockdown 1v1 defense, and her ability to efficiently and effectively communicate to her teammates are all things that Frostburg is so lucky to have.”
