Grace Christie – The Catholic University of America (Softball)
Major: Psychology
Final list of colleges: Catholic University, Scranton, Springfield College
Reasons for choosing Catholic: “I chose Catholic because it had a lot of opportunities for my major and a really good location.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was getting to know my teammates better and building bonds with them.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in softball at the collegiate level? “I didn’t always want to play a sport in college, and there was a minute where I thought I was going to play water polo in college, but I decided to play softball at the beginning of my junior year when I had a travel coach who really believed in me and pushed me towards that.”
Coach Carol Atkinson says: “This was Grace’s first year of varsity. She’s played jayvee the last three years, but she did very well stepping up this year. She played some right field, she saw time as designated player. She was a great teammate – all the seniors were great teammates. It’s really awesome to see four of them going on to play in college.”

Favorite food: Pasta
Favorite TV show: Gilmore Girls
Favorite music/artist: Country/Noah Kahan
Lindsay Detwiler – Moravian University (Softball)

Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was going to Myrtle Beach this year for spring training.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in softball at the collegiate level? “I’ve always enjoyed playing softball, and when the time came to go to college, I didn’t want to stop playing.”
Coach Carol Atkinson says: “This was Lindsay’s first year pitching varsity. She did throw a couple of innings last year when Abby (Burns) was hurt. She’s a solid pitcher – she gets it across the plate, she’s got some movement on the ball, and she’s a really good hitter. She can put the ball in play. She’s not a home run hitter, but she’s a great contact hitter, and she’s got speed. She got a big win over Pennridge (6-1) when we gave McKenna Schroding an extra day of rest late in the season.”

Coach Carol Atkinson says: “Sierra was a three-year varsity player. She was all-league as a designated player the last two years, and this year she came in and she was our starting centerfielder. She did really well for us in center, and she hit well for us as well.”
