“All three are good teammates and great role models to the younger players,” coach Mike Childs said.

Andrew Curran – Barton College (Baseball)
Major:
Sports Management
Final list of colleges:  Barton, Clarion, Goldey-Beacom
Reasons for choosing Barton:  “I chose Barton because it was the best fit for me.”
Favorite high school sports memory:  “Winning states”
Coach Mike Childs says:  “Andrew Curran is a pitcher that a lot of coaches would want to be their number one or number two. Because of the pitching staff that we had this year, he fell to the three and sometimes the four role, depending on the situation. We brought him up in the pen in case Jordan (Morales) or Luke (Taylor) got in trouble. When we needed him the state final, he stepped up big in a huge moment to close the game out. In high school baseball, anything can happen, but he stepped in and did what he had to do. I couldn’t be happier for him, and I think the team was happy for him too. When you’re running your number one and number two for sevens, it’s tough as a pitcher that knows you can do it, you know you got the velocity, you know you got the stuff. For him to step up and close it out, everybody I talk to says – he looks like a closing pitcher. He’s got the mentality, he comes in and fires the ball. What was cool during the state championship run – his miles per hour were going up. It started at 83-84, went to 85 and got to 87. I think the adrenaline was running.   He has worked very hard to where he is today, earning himself a scholarship to Barton. I think he will do very well and will definitely earn a spot in the rotation.”

Aaron Groller – Seton Hall University (Baseball)
Major:
Broadcasting
Final list of colleges: Seton Hall, Maryland, Florida Atlantic, Penn State
Reasons for choosing Seton Hall:  “I chose Seton Hall because the coaches made it feel most like home there.”
Favorite high school sport memory:  "Winning the state championship"
Coach Mike Childs says:  “Aaron Groller is a left-handed pitcher who contributed big time for us last year. He’s another great pitcher. Unfortunately, this year he was injured, but he was a leader on the bench. I’m sure he wanted to be in there, but unfortunately, the arm injury held him out. He goes to American Legion this summer and look what he does – he was voted MVP of the Bux Mont League regular season. He batted .459 and was a first team outfielder. We knew what he was capable of, we knew he was a good player, but his arm injury held him up. He had a good attitude the whole way through. He worked very hard to get where he’s at and deserves everything that’s coming to him.”

Jordan Morales – La Salle University (Baseball)
Major:
Communications
Final list of colleges: La Salle, Penn State, Seton Hall
Reasons for choosing La Salle: “I chose La Salle because the coaches made me feel at home.”
Favorite high school sports memory:  "Winning the state title at Penn State"
Coach Mike Childs says:  “Jordan went out there and wanted to get a job done and lead our team on the mound, and he did it. What I thought was big for him was the Neshaminy (state semifinal 3-0 win). He could have come out in the sixth and still pitched the state championship. He was at 72 pitches, and if I would have pulled him and we still would have won, he would have pitched the state championship, but he said, ‘Coach, I want to finish this one. Let Luke (Taylor) have the state championship.’ That right there shows you’re totally a team player and not worried about yourself.  That Neshaminy game was huge. He stepped up, and (Neshaminy coach) Dan Toner said – he was untouchable. He had another gear that no one was beating him that day.
“Jordan has been the rock of our pitching staff the past two years. He’s Mr. Energy, he always wants the ball. He’ll be a great addition to the La Salle staff. They are getting a great kid – he was always offering to do things at practice like base running, extra hitting, whatever is needed.”
