On Thursday, April 20, 2023, Souderton seniors Sarah Lindsay, Lauren Frye & Ang Borisow were recognized for committing to continue their field hockey careers at the collegiate level. “It will be strange to look out on the field this season and not see Ang and Lauren,” Souderton coach Sue Casciato said. “They were both four-year starters and were key contributors in our three league championships. As freshmen they started on defense, which is rather atypical. This past season they were both first team all-league selections as midfielders and played significant roles in our offensive and defensive corners. It was a pleasure to coach them and watch as their play evolved over the past four years. I wish them continued success as they take their game to the next level.”
Ang Borisow – Rider University (Field Hockey)
Major: Biology
Final list of colleges: Rider, Lehigh, Bucknell, Kutztown, Appalachian State, American
Reasons for choosing Rider: “I chose Rider University because it had a lot of opportunities to offer me and had a lot of clubs I can join and other club sports. I like the team culture, and the coaches were very nice.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was going to the state tournament my freshman, junior and senior years.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in field hockey at the collegiate level? “I always wanted to play a sport in college. Growing up, I had an older sister, and she always pushed me, and I looked up to her a lot. She went to play at Kutztown for field hockey, so it made me really want to follow in her footsteps and play in college as well.”

Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite memory was freshman year when we beat CB East for the first time.”
What was the progression that led you to competing In field hockey at the collegiate level? “In high school, I knew I wanted to play in college. My skills progressed, and I knew I wasn’t ready to be done playing field hockey after high school.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in field hockey at the collegiate level? “As a kid, I didn’t really want to play a sport in college, but when I got to my junior year, I realized I could actually go to the next level if I tried.”
