Juliana Borisow – Kutztown University (Lacrosse/Field Hockey)
Major:
Education
Final list of colleges:  Kutztown, Lock Haven, East Stroudsburg, Eastern
Reasons for choosing Kutztown:  “I chose Kutztown because it had both majors that I was interested in, I’m playing both sports and I love the campus.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory:  “My favorite memory from lacrosse was when we played the Mount sophomore year. It was Community Night, and we were down by four goals, and we had less than five minutes left, and somehow we came back and won the game.”
Lacrosse coach Nancy Offner says:  “Juliana’s style of play and presence on the field demands the respect of her teammates and opponents. She is a strong leader on and off the field with an intensity that encourages everyone around her to keep up and play their best. Being a multi-sport college athlete is a challenge that Jules is going to conquer with talent, determination and grace.”
Field hockey coach Nicole Bauer says:  “Juliana played center back. She is an all-around athlete. You can tell that she plays several sports. She’s very aggressive, she wears her heart on her sleeve, and she puts it all out there. She’s a vocal leader in a positive way, which the girls appreciated. She was the voice of the team. She was the one to get them riled up if we were behind, and the girls really looked up to her.”

Carlie Doughty – Coastal Carolina University (Lacrosse)
Major:
Education
Final list of colleges:  Coastal Carolina, Louisville, Villanova
Reasons for choosing Coastal Carolina:  “I chose Coastal because I love the coach – she’s very welcoming – and the location and warm weather.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory:  “My favorite memory was freshman year against North Penn. We were tied with two seconds left, and Natalie Bolger scored the winning goal.”
Coach Nancy Offner says:  “As a four-year varsity player, it is no doubt that Carlie has been an asset to this program her entire high school career. Outside of her raw athletic talent, Carlie is a smart player who can offer insight to help her teammates but also introspective enough to continue to always improve her own game. Carlie is one of the most coachable players and I look forward to seeing the great things she achieves at Coastal.”

Favorite Souderton sports memory:  “My favorite memory was last year when we beat Hatboro-Horsham. It was a really, really tough game, but we were able to pull out the win. Also, all the memories we’ve made on the team – we’re a really close team. It’s going to be hard next year.”
Coach Nancy Offner says:  “The energy and positivity that Ceci brings to the team both at practice and in games is unmatched. She has such a positive, fun outlook on life that is infectious and makes her a great teammate. Ceci’s speed, determination and lacrosse IQ makes her a strong asset to our defensive unit.
