Coach Karli Gilbert says: “Avery is a super passionate person. She cares about the team, she cares about the program, and she always wants what’s best for the team in general. She’s super aggressive, and she’s a kid you want on your team. She’s just a great leader, and being the only senior on the team, she had a lot of pressure to step up, and she did that. She’s a good role model for the younger players – she leads by example. She’s just an awesome person for them to look up to.”
