On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, Souderton senior Jake Luciani was recognized for committing to continue his soccer career at Delaware Valley University.

Reasons for choosing Del Val: “I chose Del Val because of the support I got from the coach and the environment that they give their students.”
Favorite Souderton sports memory: “My favorite high school memory came from this year when we beat CB West in our last game of the season, and it was our last home game.”
Coach Frank Demas says: “What stood out about Jake is not just him being a good player but being a good kid and a good leader. He was a guy who - when he struggled – wouldn’t put his head down but would keep working hard. When others struggled, he would pick them up and be supportive. He played the wing and striker for us, and he’s a big-time goal threat. He scored a lot of goals and a lot of big goals for us. He was our leading scorer. While he’s an amazing player and I’m sure he’ll do well at Del Val, he’s going to be a better human being because of his work ethic and his attitude.”
