Colin Devlin – Gettysburg College (Wrestling)
Major: Undecided
Final list of colleges: Gettysburg, Muhlenberg, York, Franklin & Marshall
Reasons for choosing Gettysburg: “I looked at their academics, and they were really strong. When I went out and met the team, I liked where their program is going, and I liked their coaching staff.”
What was the progression that led you to wrestling at the collegiate level? “I never really gave it much thought until eighth grade when I started seeing improvements. I knew it was something I wanted to continue, so if I could attain a certain level of performance, I definitely wanted to do it.”
Assistant coach Joe Stabolito says: “The thing that stood out most about Colin is just his dedication to the sport. He’s not afraid to work hard. He accepted every challenge and always was there to support the team in everything we did. He’s always a role model and a leader. He’s just an all-around good kid who’s going to be very successful in college.
“I actually had him in third grade, and he wasn’t bad then. He’s always been really good at the sport. He got better and better and better.”
