Paul Chung – Susquehanna University (Lacrosse)
Major: Neuroscience/Pre-Physical Therapy
Reasons for choosing Susquehanna: “Beautiful campus, new facilities, great abroad program, successful lacrosse program, and it’s close enough to home but far enough to be independent.”
What was the progression that led you to playing lacrosse at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about playing in college in my sophomore/junior year. Since then, I emailed and reached out to coaches, mostly D3 schools. I played with my club team, Phillie Elite, to increase my exposure as well as some showcases too.”
Coach JP Banks says: “For me, it’s been great to watch Paul Chung evolve over the four years he’s been a part of our program. When he started out, he was always curious, and he always worked hard. He was trying to find a niche for himself where he could fit in. He decided he was going to be a face-off guy, and he’s just done such a tremendous job of dedicating himself to doing that. He works as hard as anybody else we have on our team. Looking back on him as a ninth grader, I wasn’t sure he would ever be part of the varsity program, but he’s worked and continued to outwork everyone in his off time to the point where his senior year he was one of our four captains. He really was dedicated to what he did, and he did a nice job.”
