On Friday, May 21, 2021, Upper Dublin seniors Timmy Boutilier and Drew Stover were recognized for committing to continue their basketball careers at the collegiate level.
Timmy Boutilier – Moravian University (Basketball)
Major: Business Management
Final list of colleges: Moravian, Rosemont, Pitt-Bradford
Reasons for choosing Moravian: “I selected Moravian because of the great academics, tight-knit welcoming community and the outstanding programs and support it has to offer. I chose Moravian because it was the first school that showed significant interest in me as a student and as an athlete. I also chose Moravian because it’s close to home so my family can see me play the next four years.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “I started thinking about playing college basketball the fall of my junior year. That was a time where I was starting to look at colleges, and I wanted to play college basketball very badly. I was grateful enough to get some game tape and put together a highlight tape that I sent to a bunch of coaches. Moravian was one of the first schools to contact me, which was around June 2020.
“I played for the Upper Dublin JV team my sophomore year which propelled my progression into becoming a varsity player my junior year. Playing basketball for AAU programs Northeast Sting and CB Elite really helped me become a much better player. My love of team sports and love of basketball has led me into becoming college basketball player.”
Coach Chris Monahan says: “Tim was a pleasure to coach during his time with us. He’s a very hard worker, and he plays with great energy and enthusiasm. It’s unfortunate that his senior season was cut short because of injury, but we’re very excited that he has a chance to continue playing at Moravian. I know he will work very hard and I’m looking forward to following his career at Moravian. We wish him and Moravian the best of luck.”

Drew Stover – Millersville University (Basketball)

Reasons for choosing Millersville: “It was a very nice fit, close enough to home and a great program. I loved the coaches and the players – they gave off a good feeling to me, and it felt right. The PSAC is a very competitive league, and I can’t wait to get started.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in basketball at the collegiate level? “When I played summer AAU 10th grade, I realized I had a ton of potential and from then I just started getting better and better.”
Coach Chris Monahan says: “Drew wrapped up a fantastic career for us this season. He amassed well over 1000 points and was a dominant force both in and outside of our league. I know Millersville is excited about getting him and Drew is excited about getting there and getting to work. He’s made great improvements to his game during his time with us. We’re all proud of his accomplishments and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to work and improve at Millersville.”
