On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, Upper Dublin senior Brianna Kesslick was recognized for committing to continue her softball career at King’s College.

Reasons for choosing King’s: “They had an outstanding criminal justice and psychology program at their school. They also aid students in getting a job right after they graduate.
Favorite Upper Dublin memories: “Playing on the softball team, going to Disney, Coronation Ball and Spirit Week/Pep Rally.”
Coach Heather Boyer says: “Brianna is a really, really great kid. She’s the kind of player you want all of your girls to be like. She works hard, she has a good balance of fun and intensity. She’s been a real student of the game and has put the time in to really become a strong outfielder. From an ability standpoint, she’s had probably one of the best arms I’ve ever seen from right field. She can really, really unload that ball and throw runners out in the blink of an eye. She plays right field beautifully.
“There was a time when she was frustrated because she wanted to play center field, and I said, ‘Brianna, you’re there because I need my best outfielder in right field right now because Chloe (Foster’s) ball spins and the ball would tail off in right field. I need someone who can handle that and read that and knows when to commit to a ball that’s coming short and be able to drop step back and get to the ones over your head.’ She was just too good at it to move her. She has really grown even in an abbreviated career since she missed her sophomore season because of COVID, so a credit to her and her effort. I had her as a student in class, and she’s a very compassionate and considerate young woman who cares deeply about her friends, her family and her teammates. She’s just a good person. It was refreshing to have her in the program for four years.”
