Mack Moore – University of Colorado (Lacrosse)
Final list of colleges: Colorado, Virginia Tech, Bucknell, Rutgers
Reasons for choosing Colorado: “I chose Colorado because it has a really competitive lacrosse program, the campus is beautiful and I love the atmosphere there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in lacrosse at the collegiate level? “It was always my goal to play Division I lacrosse, and it became a reality in middle school/eighth grade that I was good enough. I just went from there.”
Coach Dee Cross says: “Mack came in as a freshman and made her presence known. I could tell right away she was a competitor. She’s one of those silent leaders. She doesn’t say a lot on the field but does all of her talking with her play, which is good. If you need something to get done, I just know Mack will do her best to do whatever we need, which is very much appreciated by the coaching staff.
“She plays low attack, and her strength as a player is creating play. Actually, she’ll play wherever we want her to. She also played midfield last year because we needed her there. Her strengths are recognizing the situation and recognizing if we need a goal – she’ll get the goal for us or she knows how to set people up and get the assist. Her lacrosse IQ is very high, and that absolutely helps. Mack had a goal – she wanted to play at the next level. She’s one of the hardest workers I’ve every coached.”
