Pennridge 3, Dock Mennonite Academy 2
Pennridge rebounded from a first-set loss and ran its record to 10-1 overall with a hard-fought 3-2 victory (18-25, 25-17, 25-18, 23-25, 15-9) over Dock Mennonite Academy in Friday’s nonleague contest.
Riley Kodidek racked up an impressive 46 assists to go along with 9 digs, 6 kills, 4 blocks, and 3 aces for the Rams. Tyler Johnson added 17 kills, 5 blocks, and 3 aces. Jude Rotondo had 11 kills and 2 aces, Thomas McKinney picked up 9 kills and 7 digs, Bryce Ammon contributed 9 kills and 3 aces, Nick Smith drilled 5 kills and had 3 blocks, and Alex Derk recorded 14 digs.
The Rams return to league play when they host local rival Souderton at 6:30 pm Tuesday.
Southern Lehigh 3, Quakertown 2
Quakertown took 2 of the first 3 sets, but Southern Lehigh won the fourth set, then took the final set to pull out a 3-2 (15-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-23, 15-12) win over the Panthers on Friday’s nonleague matchup.
Micah Reinford racked up 20 kills, 1 ace, and 16 digs for Quakertown. Zander Marks notched 18 kills, 4 blocks, 1 ace, and 14 digs. Cody Steiert dished out a whopping 40 assists to go along with 3 kills, 1 block, and 8 digs.
Anthony Clark drilled 3 aces and also contributed 12 digs. Andrew Sturgess had 6 kills and 2 blocks; Phil Richwine had 3 kills, 1 ace, and 1 dig; Kevin Richwine posted 1 kill, 1 block, and 1 dig; Logan Parker had 14 digs; Isaac Moises picked up 1 kill, 3 blocks, and 2 digs; and Kurt Glaeser had 8 digs.
Quakertown (4-9 overall, 3-6 American) will visit Central Bucks East at 6:30 pm Tuesday.
