The Girls Lacrosse Team had an incredible Over Time WIN against Springfield! 3 lead changes in the first half resulted in a 8-6 halftime lead for Springfield. Springfield went up by 11-7 midway through the half but the HH defense tightened up and didn’t allow a Springfield goal for the remainder of the game. HH began to chip away at the lead but was still down 11-10 with under a minute to play. Sophia Liott was fouled with 42 seconds on the clock and had an 8 meter shot but was fouled on the attempt. She made the next one count when she scored with 34 seconds remaining to tie the score up and send it into overtime. To start the overtime, Sophia won the draw and drove it down the center of the Springfield defense and drew a double team. She found Abby Roesing cutting behind the double team and Abby with a quick catch and shoot play scored to win the game 12-11 twelve seconds into the overtime. Total Team effort down to the last minute! HH won 12-11.
