SOL National Conference

 

COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, PENNSBURY 1 (25-22, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20)

Brady Klein’s nine kills, 11 digs and two aces led a balanced Indian attack in Friday’s win over the Falcons. Keertan Palayam had eight kills while Anthony Depalo (7 kills, 3 digs) and Nick Alleborn (7 kills, 2 blocks) also were key contributors. Nick Cirincione was the Indians’ defensive catalyst with 23 digs. Setter Dylan VanSchaick had 25 assists, 11 digs and two aces. Luke Sill contributed five kills, one block and eight digs.
For the Falcons, Nate Sadley’s 15 kills (.379 hitting percentage) and six blocks led the way at the net. He also had one assist and four digs. Noah Maslow added six kills, two digs and one block, Evan Brown had five kills (.333) and three blocks while Brian Drewes added five kills, two assists, one ace and seven digs. Brady Burgfechtel’s 17 digs led the defense. He also had five assists and one ace. Setter Jon Nixon had 35 assists, six kills, six digs and three blocks.

Council Rock North (16-4, 10-2 SOL) will travel to Neshaminy on Monday, and Pennsbury (5-8, 5-7) will host Central Bucks West on Monday.

 

SOL American Conference

 

UPPER DUBLIN 3, QUAKERTOWN 0

The Flying Cardinals bounced back from their first conference loss to earn a sweep of the Panthers on Friday.

Terrell Turner (13 kills, 2 aces, 1 assist, 2 digs), David Levin (11 kills, 1 ace, 1 assist, 1 dig) and Benjamin Dorsey (10 kills, 1 ace, 16 digs, 1 block) had dominant performances at the net. Setter Cole Brown had 31 assists, one kill, two aces and six digs. Ari Weiner contributed five kills, four digs and one ace, and Dominick Plaku added 10 digs and one ace. Tyler Pohl had one block and one kill.

For the Panthers, Zander Marks led the way with 12 kills and seven digs. Micah Reinford added nine kills and 13 digs. Setter Cody Steiert had 18 assists, two blocks and five digs. Also contributing were Andrew Sturgess (2 kills), Kevin Richwine (1 kill, 1 dig), Isaac Moises (5 blocks), Logan Parker (5 digs), Kurt Glaeser (1 ace, 6 digs), Anthony Clark (5 digs) and Phil Richwine (3 digs).

Upper Dublin (12-4, 11-1 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks South on Monday, and Quakertown (5-11, 4-8) will host Central Bucks West on Tuesday.

 

Non-league

PENNRIDGE 3, PARKLAND 1 (22-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-23)

The Rams dropped a tightly contested first set but rallied to win the next three on their way to the non-league win.

Setter Riley Kodidek had another big night, finishing with 42 assists and 15 digs. The Rams featured a diverse attack that included contributions from Tyler Johnson (12 kills, 5 blocks), Jude Rotondo (15 kills, 7 digs, 4 blocks), Thomas McKinney (10 kills, 13 digs), Bryce Ammon (9 kills, 3 aces) and Nick Smith (4 kills, 4 blocks).

Alex Derk and Ty Porter both had eight digs.

Pennridge (13-1, 11-1 SOL) will host North Penn on Tuesday.
