On Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, CB South senior Andrew Schaefer was recognized for committing to continue his cross country career at Longwood University.

Reasons for choosing Eastern: “The campus was beautiful, the coaches were nice – very accommodating with my needs, and it’s small like South. It gave me a hometown vibe feel.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level? “I started out as an entry level baseball player. I really wasn’t considered to be good, but as I put in the work through the years, I started wanting to advance my career into college, and I finally accomplished that dream.”
Coach Kevin Bray says: “Scott’s a great kid. He has a ton of respect from his teammates and coaching staff here at CB South. His work ethic and his dedication to baseball and his academics has been great. The work that he’s put in over the years at CB South definitely shows. We wish him all the best at Eastern University and his future endeavors.”
