Player overview:  “We lost some great players, so this class of 2022 has a mountain to climb.  Fortunately, we have some experienced seniors in Nate Kim, Kyle McKeever, Matt Willis and Hayden Wagner.  We also have Brian Scott returning at center back, so we should be secure defensively, and we have three solid goalkeepers, but senior Cameron Pelletier will likely start the first few games.

“Senior Alou Gamby could have a breakout season.  He has outstanding ability and pace, and we just have to give him some freedom to impact the game.  I really like our midfield a lot - Nate Kim is class, Matt Willis is going to open some eyes, and sophomore Dmitri Ilovski has had a tremendous preseason.  Another rising star is sophomore Ryan Miller. He started some games as our freshman phenom, but this season he looks even more eager and focused, and he should pair well with our junior striker Connor Sullivan, who may be our most improved player.

Outlook: “If we get some goal production from a handful of players, I think we could have a great season. We will play an up-tempo style, and I’m confident we’ll create chances. We hope to win our lucky seventh straight title, but we may need some good fortune because our conference is very strong and there’s not much separating the six teams. We open the season with four tough road games, and with the short preseason, the first couple weeks will really be a test.”
