PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Colin O’Sullivan & Griffin Pensabene, Upper Dublin – O’Sullivan, the Cardinals’ senior quarterback, put up dazzling numbers in Upper Dublin’s 32-28 win over North Penn, completing 19 of 24 passes (.792 completion) for 315 yards and four touchdowns and a QB rating of 159.7. Pensabene was on the receiving end of five passes for 142 yards and three touchdowns. The duo combined for a pair of touchdowns in the final 42 seconds to erase a 28-17 deficit – the first for 38 yards that was followed by a successful two-point conversion from O’Sullivan to Chris Kohlbrenner. The second O’Sullivan to Pensabene TD for 25 yards came with 29.5 seconds remaining after the Cardinals successfully recovered an on-sides kick and gave UD its final margin of victory.
Coach Bret Stover says: “The two of them have an uncanny knack for the timely BIG play. This was on display last Friday as they answered touchdowns from North Penn in the first and fourth quarters. They then were responsible for the final two completions which led to the final TD pass to put us in for a touchdown after we recovered an on-sides kick in the final seconds of Friday’s game.”

OFFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Ethan Shine behind the offensive line comprised of left tackle Sean Connor, left guard Liam Powers, center Connor Harris, right guard Joey Collins, right tackle Chris Poulson, Central Bucks East – The senior running back was unstoppable in Central Bucks East’s 30-13 win over Souderton in the program’s first ever night football game. He had 34 carries for 266 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. Shine’s long run of the night was 76 yards. In addition to being the workhorse on offense, the senior linebacker led the Patriots defense with 12 tackles, 1 TFL.
Coach John Donnelly says: “Ethan rushed for 266 yards which is good for third best all time for a single game in CB East history. He will be the first to tell you that the line did a great job of creating running lanes for him against a very good Souderton defense. Remarkably, he also notched 12 tackles in the game on the other side of the ball. He had a monster game.”

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Austin Pendleton, Upper Dublin – The kicker was a perfect 3-for-3 on PATs and also connected on his only field goal attempt from 31 yards, but it was Pendleton’s on-sides kick recovered by the Cardinals that set up the game-winning touchdown and was the difference in the game.
Coach Bret Stover says: “We have new special teams coach at Upper Dublin, Brendan Paulison, an All-American kicker/punter at West Chester University. It’s the first time in my 32 years here we actually have a qualified college kicker that we’ve hired. He’s been working with the kickers exclusively, and Ed Wall is our special teams coach. The two of them have been orchestrating it all summer camp.
“We had practiced all summer, and every time we kicked it – we kicked it right to our scout guy, and our scout guy would grab it and fall on the ground to cover it, so we never got to practice the big high hop, but Austin had the right time to hit the big high hopper. Whatever Brendan and Ed told him was the right thing because that went straight up in the air, and it was like it was in slow motion. It was just unbelievable.”
