Solid performance tonight. I thought we possessed the ball really well at times and with a little more luck could’ve scored 3-4.
We had a couple of good looks in the first half but got caught offside and couldn’t find the final finish. At half time we continued to talk about patience and utilizing the spaces we thought we could exploit . The winning goal came from a cross from Mia Cairone that deflected out to Audrey Rogan who buried one from the top of the box.
After that we had to deal with set pieces and some balls in behind us, but our back 4 and Danielle Eden did a solid job overall. Danielle made one outstanding save to hold our lead and we kept the ball well in the last few minutes to ensure victory.
In the second half especially I thought our midfield did a really good job, Ella Needham, Taylor Fischer & Audrey Rogan worked hard and also kept the ball moving for us.
