Council Rock North Comments
Nick Wise assisted on Tanmay Ondkar's game winner in the second OT period.
Ari Pollack led North with two goals, both from just outside the box in one of his finest
games ever for North. Souderton came out strong as North looked lethargic after
a 5 day holiday break. Souderton took a 1-0 lead into halftime on a goal by Ryan
Jackson. North made some adjustments at the intermission and played with much
greater enthusiasm to start the second half. Unfortunately, Souderton went up 2-0
on a counter attack goal by Johnny Argueta. North came quickly back to make it
2-1 on Pollack's first rip. North tied it 2-2 on a controversial chest ball goal by senior
Mike Brusca only to see the Souderton side quickly retake the edge 3-2 on a bullet
by Andrew Kerns. This set the stage for Pollack's second tally on a opposite side panel
hit. As the teams went into OT North finally woke up and played most of the two periods
in the Souderton end. On a counter North broke out with Wise leading the charge along
the endline serving up a cross that fellow senior classmate Ondkar found along the back
door and place by Souderton keeper Chris McKenna whom had an excellent showing.
North's comeback was paced by a strong showing in the midfield by senior Max Leff whom
logged his most minutes to date and paced North's attack with Pollack.
North moves to 7-2-2 overall, 6-2-2 Suburban One Patriot. Souderton dropped to 5-6-0
overall and SOL.
