OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Eli Boehm, Central Bucks West – The senior running back had 37 carries for 223 yards and three touchdowns, and he was the undeniable catalyst in a running game that accumulated 344 yards and ate up the clock in Central Bucks West’s 35-14 win over North Penn. It was the program’s first win over the Knights since 2000.
Coach Rob Rowan says: “Eli was a consistent force all night, attacking downhill and putting pressure on the defense. Eli is a contact runner who traditionally gets stronger as the game goes on. Evidence backs that up as he broke some long runs in the second half that were shorter gains to start the game. He is a throwback running back who runs with great vision and physicality. We’re excited to see him grow in confidence as we get into the later stages of the season here.”

DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Dan Vogelsong & Dean Blackwell, Central Bucks East – Inside linebacker Dan Vogelsong’s 14 tackles (1 TFL) led the defense in Central Bucks East’s 16-13 double overtime win over Pennridge. Dean Blackwell’s nine tackles (1 TFL) included a huge fourth down stop in double overtime when the junior free safety came out of nowhere to make a touchdown-saving tackle inside the one-yard line. The Patriots won it with a field goal on their ensuing possession. The Patriots’ defense allowed just one touchdown.
Coach John Donnelly says: “Dan had a monster game at Inside LB. He is undersized but has the heart of a lion. Dean had one of the most amazing defensive plays I have ever seen. It was an amazing display of timing and tenacity! He saved the day for us.
Dominick Paone, Upper Dublin – “The sophomore safety singlehandedly took Wissahickon out of its passing game with three interceptions – all in the first half – in Upper Dublin’s 47-0 win over the Trojans. Paone also scored a rushing touchdown.
Coach Bret Stover says: “Dom is a product of the Upper Dublin football system. Growing up, he played for our youth organization and middle school programs and has been able to showcase these talents for the HS team as a freshman and sophomore. He has a knack for being around the ball which he showed last Friday night.”

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Thomas Bailey, Bensalem – As debuts go, they don’t get any better than this one. The freshman – up from jayvee for his first varsity game – had a pair of interceptions and a pair of touchdowns in Bensalem’s 22-14 win over Council Rock North. Bailey had just two carries, but they were big ones. His first for 21 yards turned a 14-9 deficit into a 15-14 lead with two minutes remaining. His second TD run of nine yards in the closing moments of the game gave the Owls their final margin of victory.
Coach Alex Houston says: “He came to us from one of the district middle schools, Snyder Middle School, and he was playing JV. Just getting the kids into camp and not trying to rush anyone, he was really starring down there. He scored multiple touchdowns in the couple of games he played for JV. There was a need on the varsity level, and he did well on the next level, so you keep advancing kids.
“His first interception was early in the game, and what it did do was it provided some confidence for our young guys. We started three freshmen on defense, so it’s really important that they see success. Then he had a pick late when we had to have it. He would have returned that one for a touchdown, but we had a block in the back. He came in and scored twice. We knew had had the physical ability, but when you’re dealing with young kids, you don’t want to rush them. Varsity level is more physically demanding. We feel good about the way the program is going, and we look forward to seeing Thomas continue to do well.”

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jack Corrigan – The junior placekicker split the uprights with a 30-yard field goal that was the game-winner in Central Bucks East’s 16-13 double overtime win over Pennridge. With the win, the Patriots remained perfect at 5-0.
Coach John Donnelly says: “Jack Corrigan had prepared for this moment. We knew he would win the game for us when he had the opportunity and he delivered! He follows in the footsteps of some great CB East kickers like Barney Amor, but Jack is already carving out his own reputation.”
Sterling Limo Honor Roll:
Colin Baker, Neshaminy – The junior quarterback completed 13 of 21 passes for 160 yards in Neshaminy’s 26-0 win over Abington.
