Chase McCaffrey scored the game winner with 7 minutes remaining in the match
on a wild scramble. McCaffrey along with defensive line-mates of Danny Ugras,
Hunter Klein, Mike Pinho and Corey Brennan limited the Ryan forwards to just 5
shots and keeper Gavin Roon made one spectacular save to salvage the shutout.
Midfielders Tanmay Ondkar, Max Leff and Cole Mayer pressed Ryan most of the
second half after some adjustments at halftime. North now 10-2-2 on the year after
this crucial non-league win. Archbishop Ryan was a PIAA 3-A state qualifier last year
along with Archbishop Wood the 2022 state runner-up whom North defeated earlier
this season.
