Lower Moreland played a well fought game today against Springfield and came out on top winning 2-1. Our last 4 meetings with them have been close games and we could never come out on top but today was our day. We were able to come out strong and get on the board first setting the tone for the first half. Mady Link had the first goal that was assisted by Liz Neeld. Carly Keller netted the second goal in the third off an assist from Jessica Shein. LM suffered two tough injuries to starters Jessica Pachman and Carly Keller but the Lady Lions held strong to pull off the win. We knew Springfield would fight til the end which they did scoring their only goal in the 4th. As a team, we played our best and most consistent 60 minutes of the season on all sides of the ball. Goalie Sarah Rosala had 7 saves on the day and Mady Rossiter contributed a defensive save.
