It was a real exciting game against Quakertown. Coach Bamford teams always play hard and we really went at it tonight.
I.m so happy for Reagan and how she played on her senior night. Reagan played great scoring 17 points and adding 11 rebounds. It was really a team effort in the second half. Izzy Elizondo was scoreless in the first half but came up huge in the second half. Knocking down 7 of 9 foul shots. Emily has been so consistent this year adding 14 points including a big three in the fourth quarter.
Gabby D’Agostino again did incredible job braking their press and getting other players open shots. I think she had only one turnover against a lot of pressure,
Carolyn Sipprel could be the most underrated player around the area. She flat out can play and is fun to watch.
Quakertown Comments
Very tough battle tonight. New Hope shot very well from the three point line and for the most part shot well on the foul line. Reagan played really well tonight, which I'm very happy for her as it was their senior night. She had some beautiful quick moves down the middle. Steve does such a great job with preparing his team. They did a nice job of collapsing on Carolyn in the paint making her work for every basket. In the 2nd quarter we had some nice flurries defensively with our pressure as well as Addyson Davis who started tonight got 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Then in the 4th quarter Ava hit some threes that kept us in it as well as Kayla Sicher's put backs. Then to get us within 1 and two points we did the same play two times in a row and both times Katie Catalano knocked down the threes. Carolyn made a beautiful spin move with three girls around her. We just made too many mistakes with shot selection and then not boxing out on their missed foul shots which gave them second chance opportunities. This one hurt as New Hope is a good team, but if we are looking to make playoffs this year we need to win against these teams.
