Players to watch:
Jessica Adams #9 – Senior Power Pitcher with plenty of varsity innings underneath her belt.
Ava Kilner #5 – Senior Catcher, Captain, with a full season of varsity action already, will be asked to lead a young and hungry team.
Riley Loveless #1 – Senior Outfielder, who provides depth.
Jayda Hemphill #17 – Senior Utility, who provides depth at third base and the outfield.
Ashley Bottrel #13 – Junior First baseman, looking to provide power in the lineup from the first base position.
Emily Davis #4 – Junior Utility, who has logged plenty of varsity experience over the last two seasons. Could be a player to watch for her versatility and ability to hit in any situation.
Kacie Lawson #32 – Junior, who provides outfield depth and energy to the team.
Kaitlyn “Smiles” Erhard #50 – Sophomore second baseman, that lives up to her name, she loves the game, could be a player to watch, with her ability to set the table and play sound defense.
Gabriella Lavertu #88 – Sophomore third baseman, looking to make a name for herself as a young player in the SOL.
Veronica “Roni” Slaton #14 – Sophomore outfielder, looking to transition from the hot corner to an outfield corner spot, has speed and a smooth lefthanded swing.
Caitlyn Smith #10 – Sophomore outfielder, some varsity experience as a pinch runner, looking to fight for a starting spot in the outfield.
Charlize Deshield #30 – Sophomore Utility, looking to provide depth with her bat coming off the bench.
Erin McClarren #00 – Freshman Shortstop, looking to make an immediate impact in the SOL, as well as be an impact player for years to come.
Jillyan Saperstein #20 – Freshman Outfield & First Baseman, looking to provide an immediate impact from the middle of order with her powerful left-handed swing.

Outlook: “Looking to build on its minor successes the past few seasons with a young and hungry group of girls, under fourth year head coach, Rick Palmer, Truman will be defensively focused, young and exciting. Truman also made additions to its coaching staff, which will also be young and hungry, Rick hopes this will carry over to the field with a tighter and more energetic defense.”
