PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 12, UPPER MORELAND 2

Plymouth Whitemarsh kicked off its 2023 league play with a 12-2 victory over Upper Moreland on Wednesday. Led by Senior Midfielder Justin Bainbridge, Attackman Jared Kolsun, and Goalie Nate Mascio, the Colonials jumped out to an early 4-1 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Bainbridge contributed to the win with a hat trick and 3 assists. He also had 2 CTO and 2 GBs. Kolsun also had a hat trick along with 1 assist. Mascio had 9 saves in the win and was assisted by stellar defensive play from Junior Defenseman Frank Lynch (3 CTO, 1 GB), Senior Defenseman Dylan McCourt (1 CTO, 1GB), Sophomore LSM Isaiah Bainbridge (3 CTO, 2 GB, and 1A). Junior Attackman Ben Backenstose and Sophomore Midfielder Luke LaViola also contributed 2 goals a piece in the effort. Head Coach Ryan Bonani, who scored his first regular season and league win as Colonials head coach, was pleased with the effort. "Today was an excellent team win against a well-coached and talented program. It was a great effort in all areas of the field," said Coach Bonanni.
