Visiting Wood opened up the scoring with a fast break goal. Then South’s MJ Feeney rattled off the next three goals. The Golden Hawks finished the 1st quarter with a 4-1 lead. The home team then extended the lead with Owen Dillon scoring 3 times in the second. Also scoring in the second were TJ Shores and MJ Feeney & Daniel Erardi. Erardi’s goal with 1 second left gave South a 9-2 halftime lead. In the 2nd half, Joey Smith’s goal extended the lead to 11-2. Wood cut the lead to 11-3 by the end of the 3rd quarter. In the 4th quarter Erardi scored his second goal of the game. Also contributing was freshman Connor McCaffery scoring his 1st varsity goal. Council Rock South’s Nick Guzy won 13 of 14 faceoffs. Council Rock South will travel to SOL National opponent Souderton on Tuesday. Archbishop Wood is at home vs Holy Ghost Prep on Monday.
