SOL National Conference

BENSALEM 3, PENNSBURY 0
The visiting Falcons earned an impressive three-set win, handing the Falcons their first loss of the season.
 The Owls were led by Jack Wineburg’s 11 kills, one ace and one block.  Setter Veer Patel (25 assists, 5 digs, 2 kills, 2 aces) and libero Rohan Patel (14 digs, 2 aces) played strong matches for Bensalem.  Yosuf Khan (6 kills), Parth Patel (2 kills, 2 blocks) Dev Patel (3 kills, 6 digs) and Bruce Bell (3 kills, 1 block) made big plays at the net at key moments. 

“Parth Patel came in off the bench halfway through the second set and really ignited the team,” Bensalem coach Tim Linehan said. “He’s a very hardworking young man and I couldn’t be happier for him.”
Bensalem (4-1, 3-1 SOL) will travel to Archbishop Wood Friday, and Pennsbury (5-1, 4-1) will host Council Rock North on Friday.  

ABINGTON 3, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 0
The visiting Ghosts notched a sweep of the Golden Hawks on Thursday.
“CR South battled all the way through - they put up great serves and a very scrappy defense,” Abington coach Maddy Robinson said.
For the Ghosts, setter Brendan Dougherty racked up 22 assists and four kills (0.571 average). Middle Danyel Mayo also hit a high average with five kills on nine total attempts (0.444).  Zach Miller contributed 13 kills (0.384) from the outside on offense and seven digs on defense. Jack Scharnikow also contributed on defense, earning eight digs and three aces serving. Nikolay Grinyuk led the defense as libero, earning nine digs and a 100 percent serving average with two aces. Nazariy Kostyuk contributed two kills and two blocks from the middle, and Kai Savadove, Isaac Burstyn, and Shea McGurgan each added a kill.
Abington (2-5, 2-3 SOL) will host Neshaminy on Tuesday, and Council Rock South (0-5) will travel to La Salle for a non-league match Friday.

WILLIAM TENNENT 3, NESHAMINY 0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-16)
The visiting Panthers notched a straight set road win on Thursday.
For the Redskins, John Nice led the way with 13 kills, five digs and two blocks while Brandon Sloskey added eight kills and two digs. Setter El-Mansu Sagalive had 25 assists to go along with 12 digs, one ace and one kill. Also contributing were Beknazar Baiyshbekov (2 kills, 3 digs), Jackson Young (3 blocks, 1 dig), Liam Smith (3 kills, 1 dig, 1 block), Jake Giuliana (1 kill, 2 digs), Damien Castro (2 assists), Toby Kovaschetz (1 dig, 1 assist) and Chase Nuttail (1 dig).
William Tennent (4-1, 4-0 SOL) will host Council Rock North Monday, and Neshaminy (2-2) will host Souderton on Monday.

SOL American Conference

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, SOUDERTON 2 (23-25, 18-25, 27-25, 25-20, 15-10)
After dropping the first two sets, the young CB South Titans rallied to win the next three to defeat a tough Souderton squad Thursday night.
The Titans were led offensively by Ben Grove who amassed 24 kills. He was followed by Josh Conley with 12 kills and William Nothum with 11.
“Will Tantum did a fantastic job passing and playing defense, tallying 19 digs, and along with Ben Grove controlled the defensive side of the match,” South coach Dave Schlosser said. “Josh Conley did a great job quarterbacking the majority of the match at setter, but Sam Snyder and lone senior Damion Lewis provided the spark that helped put the Titans over the top after a lineup change.”
Aimen Kharroubi added six kills and a set of timely blocks to seal the victory.

A fantastic team effort and a lot of hard work from the boys tonight,” Schlosser said. “We couldn't be prouder. They are working really hard and getting better every day.”
For the Indians, Nate Brown had a big night at the net, finishing with 16 kills to go along with seven aces and four digs. Ian Nice had eight kills, six digs and four aces, and Jake Halteman added five kills and three aces. Alec Kreiser contributed eight digs and three aces.
Central Bucks South (2-2 SOL) will travel to North Penn Tuesday, and Souderton (2-2) will be on the road Friday for a non-league match at Dock Mennonite Academy.

NORTH PENN 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-21)
The Knights earned an impressive sweep of the visiting Bucks.
They used a balanced attack with multiple contributors aided by a strong serving night by senior outside hitter Mohammad Rusafi (14 points on serve, 4 aces, 3 kills and 7 digs). Senior libero Ryan Huang led the Knights’ defense with 18 digs along with an ace. Senior outside hitter Caleb An led the Knights in scoring with six kills along with nine digs. Senior Setter Josh Kim had 15 assists and four aces.
For the Bucks, Dean Nguyen and Oliver Hu both had seven kills. Liam Boyle dished out 15 assists, and Caleb Woodring’s 12 digs led the defense.
North Penn (3-2, 2-2 SOL) will host Central Bucks South on Tuesday, and Central Bucks West (3-3, 2-2) will host Pennridge Tuesday.

PENNRIDGE 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 1 (25-12, 25-19, 21-25, 25-16)
The Rams received contributions up and down their lineup in Thursday’s four-set win over the visiting Patriots.
Setter Evan Jalosinski handed out 36 assists. Jude Rotondo had another big match for the Rams, finishing with 11 kills, 12 digs and two aces. Chris Cullen had six kills and two blocks while Thomas McKinney, Logan Jalosinski, Gavin Stayer and Bryce Ammon each had four kills. McKinney also had nine digs, and Jalosinski had two aces. Adding two kills each were Brady Fish and Aaron Ladd. Ty Porter had eight digs.
For the Patriots, Matt LaBouliere led the way with 16 digs, eight kills, three assists and one block. Aiden Leichter added 14 digs and Steve DiRugis had nine. Setter Ryan Coxey had 13 assists and five digs. Also contributing were Justin Berger (3 digs, 1 block, 1 kill), Pat Haurin (1 dig, 1 kill), Ethan Scott (1 dig, 1 block, 1 assist), AJ Helveston (1 dig, 3 kills) and Reid Miller (3 kills).
Pennridge (4-1, 4-0 SOL) will travel to Central Bucks West Tuesday.

UPPER DUBLIN 3, QUAKERTOWN 1 (25-15, 25-13, 20-25, 25-13)
The visiting Flying Cardinals notched a four-set road win.
For the Panthers, Owen Reinford (6 kills, 3 blocks, 8 digs) and Owen William (6 kills, 1 ace, 1 block, 8 digs) led the way. Setter Tyler Moyer had 15 assists, two kills, one block and four digs. Rhenan Ferreira led the Panthers’ defense with 10 digs to go along with two kills. Anthony Clark had nine digs. Owen Lott contributed five digs and one kill, and Aiden Ziegler had one kill.
Upper Dublin (3-2, 2-2 SOL) will host Souderton on Tuesday, and Quakertown (0-4) will travel to Central Bucks East on Tuesday.
