The Lady Ghost pulled out a big win at home against Wissahickon on senior night. We came out strong in the first half fighting for every draw and ground ball. At the end of the first half Abington was up 10-3. As the second half went on Wissahickon continued fighting and tied the game then eventually took the lead. The Lady Ghosts did not give up and kept fighting till the very end and with not much time left Piper McGinley scored to tie the game and force overtime. Abington pulled out the win with an overtime winning goal by senior Audrey Silverman. Audrey Silverman, Piper McGinley, Madden Murray and Katie Pennekamp each had 3 goals. At the circle the Lady Ghosts won 11 draw controls led by Harper McGinley with 5, Audrey Silverman and Katie Pennekamp with 3. Our defense and midfield fought for every ground ball and came up with 22gbs total. Our goalie Jadyn Bagby had 8 saves and one big save with seconds left in the game that helped us reach overtime. This game was not easy in the second half but we held our heads high and never gave up. We literally fought till the last second to stay in the game.
