PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 12, QUAKERTOWN 5
Plymouth Whitemarsh earned a decisive 12-4 victory against Quakertown in league action on Tuesday night. Senior Captain Justin Bainbridge's 3-goal hat trick helped him collect his 100th career goal. The Iona-bound senior played a complete game by also contributing to the win with 2 assists, 2 ground balls, 1 caused turnover, and going 4 for 4 on faceoffs. "We are extremely proud of Justin and what he has meant to this program over the years," said Head Coach Ryan Bonanni. Also adding to the scoring were Junior Attackman Ben Backenstose with 4 goals and 1 assist and Sophomore Midfielder Luke Laviola with 2 goals and 3 ground balls. Goals were also scored by Senior Jared Kolsun, Sophomore Caiden Lesczcynski, and Freshman Jack Cooper.
Goalie Nate Mascio was excellent in the net with 9 saves and 4 ground balls. The defensive effort played as a complete unit with Frank Lynch (3GB, 1CTO), Isaiah Bainbridge (3GB, 3CTO), Dylan McCourt (2GB, 1CTO), Dylan Imperial (1CTO, 3GB), and Jackson Budin (2 CTO) all contributing to the win.
"It was an excellent effort in all areas of the game with over five different players finding the back of the net this evening," Coach Bonanni added. The Colonials continue league play when they visit Hatboro-Horsham on Thursday.
