East fell to top seeded Haverford tonight in four very tight sets, 1-3.

Once again Matt LaBouliere dominated. I’m addition to his 15 kills, .344 hitting %, 3 blocks, and 2 aces, he dished out 21 assists and picked up a team leading 14 digs. Also contributing in all aspects of the game were AJ Helveston with 12 kills, .348 hitting %, a block and 5 digs; and Pat Haurin with 7 kills, .538 hitting %, a block and 5 digs. Justin Berger, Reid Miller, and Ethan Scott were dynamic at the net with Justin accumulating 6 kills, and 6 blocks; Reid adding 3 kills, an assist and 4 blocks; and Ethan piling on a kill, 3 blocks, and 2 digs. Defensively, the Patriots were supported by Steve DiRugeris with 8 digs, Sean Figus with several long service runs and 2 digs, Aiden Leichter with 8 digs and an assist, and Evan Blank who stepped in to help stabilize the team after an injury forced Haurin from the match. Finally, Rhys Marshall did a superb job directing the East attack, contributing 18 assists, 2 aces, and 5 digs.
