CB South's Carver to Play Baseball at Bloomsburg

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, Central Bucks South senior Jack Carver was recognized for committing to continue his baseball career at Bloomsburg University.

Jack Carver – Bloomsburg University (Baseball)

Major: Business Administration

Final list of colleges: Bloomsburg, St. Bonaventure

Reasons for choosing Bloomsburg:  “Bloomsburg was the right size – I didn’t want a big school, but I didn’t want a small school. The coaching staff is really good – I liked all the coaches, and their business program is the top in the state.”

What was the progression that led you to competing in baseball at the collegiate level?  “I fell in love with baseball early. As I started, I could see that was my best sport. I’ve always played three sports, but this is definitely my best one.”

Coach Kevin Bray says:  “We’re really excited for Jack’s opportunity to play at the next level. His hard work and dedication have definitely paid off over the last few years. Coming in as a freshman, we identified Jack as one of those kids that had a high motor, that had skills that could be developed and that potentially could make an impact in our varsity program, and that was true. Jack was a main contributor on the mound, in the infield and at the plate. Jack is a three-sport athlete and plays football, basketball and baseball at a very high level, which proves across the board that multi-sport athletes can dedicate themselves to two or three sports and, in the end, have an opportunity to play at the next level. We’re looking forward to seeing him progress at the next level. Bloomsburg University is getting a really solid young man. Coach (Mike) Collins has a great program at Bloomsburg, and we believe Jack will fit in with the culture and ultimately make an impact during his time there.”
