Reasons for choosing Washington & Jefferson: “The connection with the boys on the team, and I thought playing soccer would give me a good opportunity to meet people.”
What was the progression that led you to competing soccer at the collegiate level? “As a freshman, I really wanted to play college soccer, but once COVID hit, I didn’t know if I wanted to pursue it. My senior year when I found out it was still an option – I thought it would be interesting to do.”
Coach Cooper Moyer says: “Cole Young is going to Washington & Jefferson College. They’re getting an awesome leader on and off the field. From day one, he’s going to work his tail off for them. He plays anywhere on the field you ask him to, and he would be just as good a teammate sitting on the bench as he would be starting every game, so aside from getting a fantastic soccer player, they’re getting a fantastic young man.”
