Saturday’s well-attended make-up game featured an all-lefty pitching duel that lasted 5 innings before Souderton runs in the 5th and 6th innings to take a 2-run lead heading into the 7th inning. But a blow-out 5 run inning in the 7th helped North Penn take a commanding lead that would hold despite Souderton rallying for another run in the bottom of the 7th. In the field, Souderton played a solid game defensively while North Penn looked somewhat uncomfortable, committing 4 errors. Both team’s starting lefties had hitters confused, racking up 20 strikeouts between them – many on 3 pitches. Souderton’s next game is Tuesday April 9 at CB West.
