2024 SOL All-State Selections
FIRST TEAM
Reese Zemitis, Neshaminy, Sr., 6-0, G/F – A third team all-state selection last year, the senior was a four-year starter and three-time first team All-SOL Patriot Division selection. Zemitis, who set a single-game program scoring record of 35 points in late January, closed out her career as the girls’ all-time leading scorer in Neshaminy history with 1,428 points. Equally comfortable shooting from beyond the arc or taking the ball to the basket, Zemitis averaged 17.6 points per game, 8.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals for a Neshaminy squad that captured its second consecutive SOL Patriot title and the SOL Tournament title. A McDonald’s All-American nominee, she buried foul shots at an 84.8 percent clip. Zemitis, who had 16 D1 offers, will continue her career at Bucknell University.
THIRD TEAM
Amber Howard, Bensalem, Sr., 6-0, G/F – A two-time first team All-SOL Patriot Division selection, Howard was a McDonald’s All-American nominee. She averaged 18.2 points a game and 7.8 rebounds for a Bensalem squad that advanced to districts for the first time in four years. A four-year varsity player, she surpassed the 1,000-point mark as a senior. She will continue her basketball career at North Carolina A&T.
Lola Ibarrondo, Neshaminy, Sr., 5-8 PG – A three-time first team All-SOL Patriot Division selection, the senior point guard averaged 11.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.8 steals for a Redskin squad that won the SOL Patriot Division title and the SOL Tournament championship. A McDonald’s All-American nominee, Ibarrondo closed out career with 1,107 points, 10th all-time in Neshaminy history. Will continue basketball career at Holy Family University.
Megan Ngo, Upper Dublin, So., 5-3, PG – A first team All-SOL Liberty Division selection, the sophomore point guard, went down in the opening game of the District 1 6A Tournament with a torn ACL. The Cards were 22-1 with Ngo in the lineup and poised to make a postseason run. They were 2-5 without the gifted floor general, who averaged 7.4 assists a game (and had a school record 171 for the season) and a 4.75:1 assist-to-turnover ratio. She also averaged 9.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 steals. A legitimate Division 1 prospect.
Caleigh Sperling, North Penn, Sr., 5-10, G – A first team All-SOL Colonial Division honoree the last two years, the senior guard was a four-year starter for the Knights and was the cornerstone of the program’s turnaround from a two-win team three years ago to a 25-team win that captured the SOL Colonial Division crown and advanced to the PIAA 6A state quarterfinals. A three-year captain, Sperling averaged 17.2 points, six rebounds and two steals a game. She shot 84 percent from the foul line and was equally comfortable driving to the basket or shooting from mid-range or beyond the arc. Sperling shot 54 percent from the floor and finished her career with 1,324 points. She will continue her basketball career at Thomas Jefferson University.
