On Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, CB South seniors Corey Moore, Anthony Leonardi, Collin Goetter and Sean Moskowitz were recognized for committing to compete in football at the collegiate level.
Collin Goetter – Monmouth University (Football)
Major: Finance (5-year master’s program)
Final list of colleges: Monmouth, Buffalo, Lafayette, Lehigh
Reasons for choosing Monmouth: “I was looking all over at schools. I hadn’t gotten any offers until I got my first, and then I got three in one day. Then I got two the next week. That’s where I started. I tried to hit
as many as I could because I didn’t want to risk my spot at Monmouth. My big thing is they play really good football up there. They’ve had one head coach in their school history. Their OC (offensive coordinator) played there, and he’s been there 20-something years, and the O-line coach has been there 20 years, so the staff is very continuous, and in college football, that’s one of the most rare things you get these days.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in college football? “I love football. I’ve wanted to play football as far as I can. If that means getting the next five years, so be it. When I was kind of like – Oh, I’m going to be able to play college ball, I was in middle school, and I got that growth spurt. Sophomore year I was basically penciled in as a starter all through camp and during the season, and that’s the first step in playing college football is being a three-year varsity guy.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Collin Goetter has done three great years of work at this school. I threw him into the deep end as a sophomore. I said, ‘You’re the starting right tackle, and we’re going to learn on the fly.’ I think he might have missed a half of football over the course of three years. He is an absolute warrior. In my opinion, he’s one of the best offensive linemen in the state of Pennsylvania in this year’s graduating class. He’s an elite offensive lineman - one of the best ever to come through this school in the 20 years here, one of the best I’ve ever coached. What he’s done for this school and this program is unbelievable.”

Anthony Leonardi – West Chester University (Football)

Reasons for choosing West Chester: “I feel like they’re really building a culture at West Chester. Just the way everything came off, the impressions that were made – I feel like it’s more of a fit for me as a player as
well as a student. Things like that were definitely big for me.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level? “I started with Warminster Pioneers, and I played there up until 125-pound football. I played middle school at Tamanend Middle School. After my first year, I didn’t really want to play football anymore. I didn’t really like it, but I stuck with it. Around freshman year, I started to realize maybe I could go somewhere with this. This is something I love, and if I work hard enough, I could make it a reality, and now we’re here.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Anthony Leonardi – I couldn’t be more proud of a student-athlete to see how far he’s come. As a sophomore, he was just a raw athlete to the things he did for us even as a junior on the back half of the season and then the way he went out and lit up the Suburban One this year and lit up the state of Pennsylvania and the things he was able to do at an elite level. He’s a twitchy athlete- there are certain people you don’t necessarily coach some of the things they can do. They’re just programmed that way. He just has a feel for the game, and he has a strong desire to do special things. With the ball in his hands, he just had the ability to do it. I couldn’t be more happy for somebody, I couldn’t be more proud of somebody. West Chester is going to love him.”

Reasons for choosing Lebanon Valley: “Academics, for sure. I put academics first before sports. I can see myself succeeding in their academic program. For football, I’m excited to work with my new team and
coaches.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level? “Ever since I was little, I had the dream of playing in the NFL, so I would have to go to college and play. I just always had the mindset if I keep working – eventually, it will pay off, and I’ll get to college.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Corey Moore – we call him ‘the Sandman’ because he played a role in our system. He didn’t necessarily pad the stats with the yardage, but he had 20-plus touchdowns. He was the one that finished drives, he was the one that would get you the extra four yards because he was such a tough kid and hard runner. His contributions to this football program – we couldn’t have done what we did this year without him doing the small little things that might have gone unnoticed.”

Reasons for choosing West Chester: “It’s close to home, it’s a good fit for me academically, and I see a future for me there.”
What was the progression that led you to competing in football at the collegiate level? “I’ve been playing football since I was little, and I’ve always had a dream of playing at the next level and just do my best. It started to become a reality probably my sophomore year of high school when I made varsity.”
Coach Tom Hetrick says: “Sean Moskowitz- it was two-and-a-half years of really contributing good things. He’s one of the premiere linebackers in this league. He was born a football player. When I met him when he was a young kid, I was like – ‘Yup, he’s a fullback, and he’s a linebacker.’ The things that he did on both sides of the ball – not only just a linebacker but at fullback inside of our offensive system, in my opinion, made him the most valuable person on our team this year because of his contributions in all three phases of the game. He’s going to have an unbelievable career at West Chester.”
