Coach Nick Heim says: “Zoe is an incredible player, teammate, and young woman. She burst onto the scene her freshman year. It was the COVID year, so we stuck with an all senior starting lineup with the uncertainty of any game being their last, but Zoe was always the first player off the bench. When it came to her sophomore year, we had graduated three all league central midfielders and gave Zoe the keys to run the show. She did not disappoint whatsoever. First team all-league as a sophomore and junior in our division is incredibly tough, but her skill set and work rate deserved it. On top of the that, she’s one of the smartest players I’ve ever coached and could make changes on the field without us having to communicate with her.
“She tore her ACL prior to her senior year, but that may be where she showed the most leadership - still organizing summer workouts and essentially being an assistant coach for us all year. We had that magical playoff run which could be tough for a senior to watch from the sidelines, but the impact Zoe had on the younger kids is what really made that possible. We are incredibly excited to see her at UMBC where she joins a fellow alum (Kimmie Herritt), and we know she will represent the entire CRS community with pride. We are beyond proud of her and thankful for ALL she has done for our program!”
