CB South 12 - Easton 2 (6 innings)




It can be tough going into your season opener against a reputable team having played no scrimmages. Our team handled it is stride though and came out ready to dominate and play the type of ball that has made our program so successful. Fran Carrullo and Haileigh Stocks delivered an outstanding performance on the mound despite the bitter cold weather. Fran manufactured 7 strikeouts in the first 4 innings with Haileigh following up with 5 strikeouts in the last 2 innings. Haileigh also led our team offensively with 4 RBI's; going 2-for-2, scoring 4 runs, and hitting a 3 run home run in the 5th inning. Jae Epstein also had a multiple hit game going 2-for-3 and scoring 2 runs. RBI's were turned in by Morgan Decker, Alyssa Virginio, Michelle Gessner, Ashley Hall, Hallie Bilker, and Alli Waddington who had 2. On the defensive end of things, Lauren Klepchick made a perfect throw to Haileigh to catch a runner stealing second.
